How to Travel to Machu Picchu – Machu Picchu, Peru is famous as an old mountain region which is the location where the Inca city in the past. In the mountains there are the ruins of the Inca city located at an altitude of about 2,350 m. Machu Picchu is above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, about 70 km northwest of Cusco. These ruins is the symbol of the presence of the famous Inca Empire around the year 1450.
